The CD Holder is a round clear plastic case that snaps together. Its outside diameter is 1.830". CD holders for smaller size coins from cents to half-dollars and the small dollar have a center ring of inert white soft plastic called Volara. The CD holders for larger coins like the 38 mm dollar, 39 mm silver rounds and 40 mm Silver Eagle dollar do not require a insert ring.

The CD holders are not printed. CD holders are packaged in bags of three or in boxes of twenty of the same denomination. There is a slightly higher price on the smaller size holders because of the addition of the insert ring. All standard coin openings for the CD holders are available from cents to dollars.
