Historic Coin Set

The Westward Journey Commemorative Nickels Set 2004-2006

Commemorating the bicentennials of the Louisiana Purchase and Lewis and Clark expedition, the Jefferson 5-cent coins were modified to reflect images of the expedition into the Louisiana Territory. 2004 designs include the Peace Medal and Keelboat, 2005 a new portrait of President Thomas Jefferson will appear on the nickels obverse with reverse designs of the American Buffalo and the Ocean in View. The set concludes with a new portrait of Jefferson and the return of the reverse design of Monticello, Jefferson home.

Display in a Capital Plastics Capital 6.5" x 6.5" Galaxy holder with 8 coin openings.
Center insert color choices are Black or White.

Gold embossed outline of Bison, coin ports for Obverse of the 2004, '05, & '06 coins,
and two each 2004 and 2005 unique reverse designs.
