Clay Desiccant Information:
Activated clay desiccants control humidity and eliminate the risk of mildew or rust damage in sealed containers. The non-corrosive clay adsorbs up to 20% of its weight in water in six hours. Activated clay desiccants in Kraft bags are designed for machine parts, document storage, chemicals and clothing. Activated clay desiccants in Tyvek bags are recommended for shipping pharmaceuticals, electronic components and food. Clay desiccant in a Tyvek bag meets FDA specifications, is tear proof and dust free.
Silica Gel Information:
Since W.W.II, Silica Gel has been the desiccant of choice by government and industry for use within enclosed storage areas. Requiring no electricity, Silica Gel is in the form of chemically inert granules which are nontoxic and safe to use with sensitive material ... even food and medicines. These man made granules contain thousands of tiny crevices which literally "drink up" moisture from the air by surface adsorption to create a protective shield of dry air within any enclosed area.

Today, the use of a desiccant is not limited to commercial users alone. Because of the Multitude of Products it will protect from the damaging effects of moisture while storing or shipping it has become extremely popular with the public in general.
The majority of suppliers for these products only offer them in large drums or containers which most often is far more than the average user needs or wants. We purchase these products in volume and break them down to smaller amounts to meet the consumer's exact needs or requirements.
Although we do occasionally get a small order of just $5.00 to $10.00 the majority of our orders for a desiccant product ranges between $40.00 to $60.00 and it is not uncommon to have an occasional order in the $100.00 to $200.00 range. The largest single order to date that we have had by a non commercial user was just under $800.00 and that did not include the nearly $125.00 in overnight shipping fees.
